The everyday radiant base.

Although I do enjoy constantly changing my base products just to keep things a little interesting, sometimes I find a combination that works wonders for me and I end up sticking to it and wearing it over and over again. This is one of those times and I really need to tell you all about it.

For primer, I swear by Too Faced Hangover Face Primer, which quenches and plumps my skin and makes it look instantly refreshed. Sometimes my skin is so dehydrated that it drinks up all the moisture from my foundation and by the end of the day I'm left with barely any makeup at all on my face, but with this primer my base remains flawless and fresher till night time. I always say that a good skin prep is half the job and I cannot recommend this stuff enough.

As for my base, the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder is my number one at the moment. It's a my-skin-but-better kind of foundation, pretty much undetectable and ultra luminous, light enough that it feels like nothing on the skin but with enough coverage to disguise imperfection and even out my redness. If I want something more long lasting and perfecting, then I usually mix in a pump of Charlotte's Magic Foundation and bump it around with a damp blender till I reach that perfect spot where flawless skin meets natural, healthy finish.

You'll always find a bottle of MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer in my makeup drawer, especially this time of the year when makeup always feels on the verge of melting off the face. This sticks like velcro to my skin and covers everything with no risk of product migrating or flaking. When I need a little extra pick-me-up and lift under the eyes on tired days, I reach for the Charlotte Tilbury The Rethoucher. This is an illuminating concealer on steroids that covers dark circles, and hydrates and brightens the eye area while blurring fine lines. Perfect to fake twelve hours of sleep within seconds.

I don't always set my makeup with powder, but when I do it has to be with something light and finely milled, that doesn't make my base look dry or cakey and above all that doesn't kill the glow. The Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder ticks all the boxes for me, as it's the least powdery powder ever and with its almost unreal soft-focus glow it really transforms my skin leaving it fresh, luminous and perfected.

Let me know if you've tried any of the above and what are your everyday must haves in the comments below.
