Even if my sleeping routine is much more regular these days, I still struggle with being a morning person and sometimes early starts can be a real nightmare. On those days my quick makeup routine really comes in handy and allows me to get ready and be out of the door in a handful of minutes. Having a look in mind is key to save time and mine is quite minimal and only requires a few products: it's all about a beautiful, luminous base and perky pinks to look fresh and awake.
I spend most of my time on my base, as it is the most important step for me - with a strong base you immediately look refreshed and put together, so it's definitely worth spending an extra minute on. Because my skin is dry, I like to start with some kind of hydrating and illuminating primer and for the last couple of weeks I've been testing out the Niod Photography Fluid, a lightweight serum-primer hybrid. It's enriched with corrective pigments that even out the complexion, and reflecting particles that make it look like you're carrying the light within your skin, like a real life instagram filter.
For foundation, I can always rely on the Nars Sheer Glow, which combines longevity and excellent buildable coverage with a flawless finish, and it's easy to apply and blend away with my beautyBlender. As for concealer, I'm having another love affair with MAC Pro Longwear concealer, which is one of my all time favourites as it's perfect to cover both blemishes and under eye shadows, it doesn't look dry and lasts for days.
For that extra glow and definition, I reach for the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. On an everyday basis I feel that proper contouring can be a little excessive and time consuming, but the golden hues in this palette are perfect to give structure to the face with a healthy, irresistible glow that still looks natural. I then dust a bit of Milani Romantic Rose Blush to add colour back into my cheeks, but I try to use a light touch as especially during winter my cheeks have a natural rosiness that can easily become redness, if I'm too generous with blush.
My brows have been looking quite full on their own recently and since they don't require too much attention, I simply brush them up and fill in any little gap with MAC Fling. As for eyeshadow, I've been completely obsessed with MAC Soba, a soft ochre brown shot through with a hint of golden shimmer that makes my brown eyes pop and gives the right amount of definition in just one quick wash. I finish the eyes off with a generous coat of the Lancome Hypnose Drama WP, which I just recently discovered and I'm really loving at the moment. The formula ticks all the boxes for me as it's extra black, adds lots of volume and holds the curl all day.
Last but not least, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk is the perfect everyday shade, just a bit darker than my natural lip colour and with a dreamy matte formula that is long lasting, but nourishing and comfortable to wear at the same time.
This simple look usually takes me 5-7 minutes tops and it's uber easy to upgrade as the day goes by with a bolder lip choice - and you can bet I'll be able to find at least a couple options hanging around the bottom of my purse at all times. They like to pile up there for some reason.

Anche se non faccio più le ore piccole come una volta, la sveglia al mattino è sempre una spina nel fianco. In quei giorni in cui vorrei solo poter restare a letto per altri dieci minuti, una routine semplice e veloce mi permette di prepararmi in fretta ed uscire di casa in poco tempo senza troppi drammi. In questi casi avere in mente un look che richiede pochi, semplici passi ed una manciata di prodotti torna sempre utile. La mia routine si basa su due pilastri: una base perfetta e luminosa, ed un pizzico di rosa per sembrare fresca e riposata in un baleno.
Dedico la maggior parte del tempo alla base, visto che per me è il passaggio più importante - una buona base è il passo essenziale per farmi sentire al meglio ed apparire immediatamente fresca e presentabile, per cui vale decisamente la pena spenderci qualche minuto in più. Perchè ho la pelle secca, mi piace cominciare con un primer illuminante ed idratante e da un paio di settimane sto testando il Niod Photography Fluid, un ibrido siero/primer dalla consistenza leggerissima. E' arricchito da pigmenti correttivi che uniformano l'incarnato, e particelle riflettenti che creano l'illusione di una luminosità che viene da sotto la pelle, come un filtro instagram nella vita reale.
Per quanto riguarda il fondotinta, posso sempre affidarmi al Nars Sheer Glow, che unisce durata ed un'eccezionale coprenza facilmente modulabile ad un finish da incarnato perfetto, ed è velocissimo da applicare e sfumare con il mio fidato beautyBlender. Per il correttore invece, sto vivendo una nuova storia d'amore con il MAC Pro Longwear concealer, che è uno dei miei preferiti in assoluto poiché è ideale per coprire sia occhiaie sia piccole imperfezioni e rossori, non secca la pelle e dura un'eternità.
Per scolpire e donare ulteriore luminosità all'incarnato, scelgo il Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. Per il trucco di tutti i giorni un vero e proprio contouring sembra un po' eccessivo e può portare via troppo tempo, invece i toni dorati del bronzer e dell'illuminante contenuti in questa palette sono perfetti per definire i contorni ed illuminare il viso con bagliori irresistibili, che però restano molto naturali e delicati. Poi, un pizzico di Milani Romantic Rose Blush resistuisce colore alle guance, ma senza esagerare perché soprattutto in inverno il mio rossore naturale tende a venir fuori con maggiore intensità.
Le mie sopracciglia sono abbastanza piene al momento e non hanno bisogno di particolari attenzioni, quindi mi basta spazzolarle e riempire eventuali vuoti con MAC Fling. Parlando di ombretti, sono completamente ossessionata da MAC Soba, un marroncino ocra delicato con un tocco di iridescenza dorata che scalda i miei occhi marroni e li definisce in poche pennellate. Una generosa passata di Lancome Hypnose Drama WP, una delle miei scoperte più recenti, è perfetta per terminare il trucco occhi. Questa formula soddisfa tutte le mie necessità in termini di mascara, dato che è di un nero intenso, dona volume in abbondanza e mantiene le ciglia incurvate per tutto il giorno.
Ultimo ma non meno importante, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk è il rossetto ideale per tutti i giorni, poco più scuro delle mie labbra e con una meravigliosa formula opaca che dura a lungo, ma è nutriente e confortevole da indossare allo stesso tempo.
Questo look molto semplice mi porta via 5-7 minuti al massimo e si può intensificare facilmente per il pomeriggio o la sera grazie ad un rossetto più intenso - e sono certa di trovarne sempre almeno un paio sul fondo della mia borsa. Ai rossetti piace accumularsi lì a quanto pare.

Anche io amo il MAC Prolonwear concealer, lo sto usando da un po'... adesso l'ho affiancato al Too Faced Born This Way e li alterno! Di Nars avevo provato il fondotinta Velvet Matte, che ha un finish stupendo sulla pelle, ma non l'ho mai comprato perchè tende a seccarmela :(
Anche io ho notato che con un po di organizzazione un make up da tutti i giorni può farsi in meno di dieci minuti.
